TradeStation Prime provides securities lending services for bulge bracket firms as well as smaller Hedge Funds, RIAs and Emerging Managers. Since we are equity self-clearing, that allows us to borrow directly from pools of tens of billions of dollars of U.S. equity securities, so no matter your size or whether your strategy emphasizes day trading or holding long-term positions, we can facilitate your borrowing needs. In addition, with our self-clearing status, our customer rates are very competitive compared to the largest global broker-dealers or prime brokers.

A Securities Lending Platform You Can Count On

Though we can facilitate customers with AUM in excess of $1billion, our securities lending offering targets customers with total assets of $250MM or less, with an emphasis on those customers under $50MM and emerging managers as well.

Our ability to service this range of customer needs separates us from the larger prime brokers that typically focus only on customers well in excess of $1billion AUM. As our model provides greater flexibility and choice, smaller customers can compete with larger customers for stock borrow locates and competitive rebate rates. This offers smaller customers greater protection from stock borrow recall and/or buy-in risk, potentially resulting in a more stable borrow position. Bottom line: smaller fund customers have greater access to the short side of the market and can better take advantage of trading opportunities that fit with their unique fund strategies.
